Our Core Values
Engage Forum is motivated by these three core values:
Human dignity is afforded to all human beings, who share a divine nature and potential. Universal human flourishing is a moral responsibility.
Constitutional Democracy requires respect for the law and balance of powers. Democracy is the best form of government to respect human dignity and to work for universal human flourishing.
Civic Engagement ensures that democracy functions well. This engagement must be broadly distributed, civil, well informed, guided by principle over party, and motivated by charity for all.
We seek to overcome political division by focusing on what unites us: our shared commitment to human dignity and human flourishing, constitutional governance, and civic responsibility. Through education, dialogue, and local action, we build a more engaged and informed citizenry, promote more responsible and responsive elected officials, and advocate for policies that align with our values.

We work to promote our values in the civic sphere through in-person and virtual communication strategies as an organization, and we provide training on effective communication and advocacy strategies for citizens.

We provide forums for discussion, workshops for training, and other events in the civic space to inspire more principled and robust civic engagement for individual citizens. This includes higher levels of voter turnout, more involvement in community organizations and in public service. When desirable, we partner with like-minded organizations to these ends.

We seek competitive races by recruiting and supporting candidates from any party who align with our values. We work with elected officials to advocate for policies in harmony with our values. We affirm that political parties are useful but not ends in themselves. They are answerable to people, not people to parties. We seek to bring an end to polarization and hyper-partisanship.
